The following instructions are only examples of the various application rates that have been suggested by Earth Juice enthusiats & are intended only as tips that may be used as guidelines.
HYDRO- ORGANICS SYSTEM: Trickle, see B.C.Systems (H502), etc. • MEDIUM: Growrocks (H001) OPTION: 80% Growrocks + 20% Growcoir. • CHARGING SYSTEM: Prior to planting, fill reservoir with clean water & Earth Juice Catalyst at 2 Tablespoons per gal. Run continuously for 24 hours. Empty the reservoir, add at one half strength the suggestednutrient dosage. Run for 1 day. Empty 80% of reservoir, add fresh full strength solution & run. After 24 hourscheck pH . We suggest to run pH lower than the optimum, 5.2-5.8, until you get a feel for it. If the initial pH is lower, let it run another 24 hours before attempting to adjust. Now itıs ready to plant. The initial pre-charge introduces an active ³Bio-Zone² which will reduce organic odors. • ADDING SOLUTION: Add solution whenever the level drops to approx. 1 gal. If allow to drop too low, may increase the incidents of fouling the drip-ring. When topping off, use approx 1/2 - 3/4 strength nutrient solution. • CHANGING RESERVOIR SOLUTION : Change every 4-8 weeks. At changes, fill with clean water only & run for a few hours. Drain & fill with fresh nutrient solution.

EXAMPLE OF A PPM CHART FOR TOMATOES
Include "Assist" @ approx 1 ml per 5 gals. Watch for foaming. NON-RECOVERY/ INJECTION SYSTEM TOMATO: 5 gal containers with a soilless mix of GrowCoir 40% (F276), Perlite 40% (F242), Growrocks 20% (H001). To this medium add Earth Juice Rainbow Mix Grow (J502). Use at the Rainbow Mix recommended rates or approx 2-4 oz per cubic foot of medium. Reapply by top-dressing with Rainbow Mix every 2 - 3 months. DELIVERY SYSTEM : Main supply line, 1/2 inch hard poly in a closed loop configuration. Feeding hose, 1/4 inch minimum diameter poly. Drill holes in supply line, attached the feeding hose with a needle nose pliers by squeezing the hose, inserting into the drill holes & releasing. Do Not Attach Drippers. FREQUENCY & DURATION : Can vary due to the age of plants, the environment, etc. Typical, during light hours once every 1-2 hours, for 3-6 minute durations. For hobbyist, the ³EuroPlanter System² (H542) may be adapted.
NOTES FROM A COMMERCIAL HYDRO-ORGANIC LETTUCE PRODUCER LETTUCE VARIETY : Tango & misc. SYSTEM : NFT Gully . Propagate seeds in VACROC 1.5' cubes (H008) or a 50/50 mixture of GROWCOIR ( F276) & Perlite ( F242) in the NFT mesh bottom cups(H434) . Start separately out of the system. When roots emerge, place into system. Grown in a greenhouse with lights to extend the day to 16 hours. FEEDING SCHEDULE : Frequency, every 40 minutes for 20 minute flow durations. OPTIONAL FEEDING SCHEDULE : Continuous flow. Changed solution once a week. A change run clean water only through the system for approx half a day. See the Pro NFT gully system (H434).

Applicator ; Large area electric sprayers. For smaller areas pump sprayers. Sprayers may require the removal of the in-line tip screens. Application rate, 100 gallons of solution per acre or 5 gals per 2200 sq ft. Apply 3-6 times a season. High traffic areas, apply every 2-4 weeks.
