This easy to use growing medium is made from the prepared fibers of the middle layer, or mesocarp, of the coconut. This is a superior commercial quality material which doesn't contain the high levels of salt found in many other varieties of coir products. It exhibits an exceptionally good balance of wetting and aeration, and displays a resistance to bacteria and fungus growth, with a pH of 5.4-6.8. It's also very economical. A 22 oz 8"x4"x3" briquette, when dried and fluffed, expands to approximately 5-7 quarts. The 11 lb 12"x12"x 6" bale, when dried and fluffed, expands to approximately 3 cubic feet; this is the same material as 10+ briquettes. May be used alone or as a soil conditioner. For soil, soilless, hydroponic or hydro-organic growing. Great for starting seeds, as well as for growing and maintaining mature plants. Try blending ProCoir with perlite or 4-8mm Hydroton.
HOW TO HYDRATE. Add 1 Briquette to a clean 3 gallon bucket, add 1 gallon of water with 1-2 Tbsp of Earth Juice Grow. Mix well. Add the Procoir briquette to the solution. For Bales; to a 20 gallon tub, add 7 gallons of water with 7 Tbsp of Earth Juice Grow. Mix well. Add 1 Procoir bale to the solution. The material will expand in approximately 20 minutes absorbing the organic nutrient. A great natural way to get your plants off to a healthy start.
