KELP MEAL (Ascophyllum nodosum) This kelp meal is a much finer material than what is commonly offered. The finer grind makes for more even dispersion, faster assimilation into soils, and a better animal feed.It is derived from the prized cold-water kelp variety, Ascophyllum nodosum. It is slowly solar dried to better preserve the many vitamins, hormones, nutrients, and growth regulators it contains. Lowest in sodium. Great for stimulating the microbial life of the soil. Known for improving the overall health of plants and trees. Use sparingly, about 2-4 lbs per 100 sq ft. It's best to work into the soil prior to planting. 5 lb minimum order.
SOLUBLE KELP POWDER has similar elements as the meal, but in a concentrated, 100% water soluble form. Best used as a foliar feed, but can also be watered in. To make a concentrate: mix 8 oz of powder with 3 quarts of water. Stir well. Use 1 oz of concentrate per gallon of water. May be mixed with other foliage sprays.
